Journalists who attend the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics annual Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo have access to more than 10,000 registered dietitian nutritionists, including the Academy’s media spokespeople, nutrition science researchers, policy makers, health care providers and industry leaders. When and where is the Academy’s 2017 Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo? 2017-05-01T16:04:57+00:00

From the organization’s first meeting in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1917 to this year’s conference in Chicago, FNCE® has been held across the United States, from Washington, D.C., to Honolulu, Hawaii. In 2017, FNCE® will be held October 21 to 24, at McCormick Place West.

Members of the press may apply online beginning May 10 for media credentials, conference registration and access to the on-site Press Room. Journalists may also register on-site in the Press Room.

All badges must be picked up on-site at the Press Room beginning Saturday, October 21, at 9 a.m.

The Academy provides a number of services to the media, including a private work area, access to exclusive media briefing sessions and events and access to press materials provided by the Academy and exhibitors.

Can the media attend conference sessions? 2017-05-01T16:19:24+00:00

Media registration includes registration to the conference, which features more than 100 research and educational presentations, lectures, debates, panel discussions and culinary demonstrations. Please note attendance at all sessions is on a first-come, first-served basis and media credentials do not guarantee admittance.

Registered media seeking to interview conference speakers should contact them directly through the Speaker Ready Room.

The Academy’s Strategic Communications Team is available to assist journalists looking to speak directly with the Academy’s network of media spokespeople — expert registered dietitian nutritionists — who are available for interviews throughout the conference.
