Jenifer Ross DCN, RD, LD/N, FAND

Jen Ross is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of North Florida, teaching primarily in nutrition counseling and education. In addition, she works with the UNF Center for Nutrition and Food Security as co-director of Meals on Wings and on programming to provide nutrition education and counseling that serve food insecure individuals throughout Northeast Florida. Her research focuses on food/nutrition security, empathy in higher education, student community engagement, nutrition program planning and evaluation, disordered eating, and weight bias. Dr. Ross is Secretary for the Florida Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics where she previously served as Public Policy Liaison and Reimbursement Representative. Ross is a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor and formerly worked in private practice where she counseled individuals on various nutrition-related concerns. She received her BA in Human Services from Elon College, her BSH and MSH in Health Science/Nutrition, and her Doctorate in Clinical Nutrition from the University of North Florida.
