Tamie is a Registered Dietitian who is employed by Sodexo’s Healthcare division since 2000. She has held various Clinical and Operational positions in Acute Care Hospitals including Lehigh Valley Hospital, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, New Bridge Medical Center, Penn State Health St. Joseph and St. Luke’s University Health Network. She is currently a Multi Service Manager at Grand View Health where she is responsible for Food and Environmental Services. Tamie spent the early years of her career as a Clinical Nutrition Manager and is a former Diabetes Educator. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dietetics from Marywood University along with a Master of Science Degree in Nutrition. She currently serves as the Chair of the Quality Management Committee of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and has also served as Chair of the Academy’s Evidence Based Practice Committee. She resides in Easton, Pennsylvania with her husband Dr. James Newman and their dog Kinsey.
