Tamaan Osbourne-Roberts MD, MBA, FAAFP, DiplABLM

Tamaan Osbourne-Roberts, MD, FAAFP, DiplABLM is Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Health Strategy for Colorado Access, Colorado’s largest non-profit, and only Medicaid, health plan. He previously served as Chief Medical Officer of Colorado’s Health Care Policy and Financing department (the state agency overseeing Colorado’s Medicaid program), as well as Chief Medical Officer of Colorado’s All Payer Claims Database. A practicing, board-certified family medicine and lifestyle medicine physician, Dr. Osbourne-Roberts has spent his clinical career working for the underserved throughout Colorado. He maintains academic appointments as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Family Medicine for the University of Colorado School of Medicine, and as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Systems, Management & Policy of the Colorado School of Public Health. Dr. Osbourne-Roberts currently serves on the Council on Science and Public Health of the AMA, the Primary Care Provider Association Advisory Board of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and the Colorado Food Systems Advisory Council. He previously served on the AAFP Commission on Quality and Practice and the AMA External Advisory Committee on Value-Based Care, as well as president of the Colorado Medical Society and Colorado Academy of Family Physicians, and as a trustee of the Colorado Hospital Association, Dr. Osbourne-Roberts completed his B.A. as a Tyng Scholar at Williams College, his M.B.A. as a Pozen-Commonwealth Fund Fellow in Health Equity Leadership at Yale University, and his M.D. and family medicine residency training at the University of Colorado. He speaks six languages (three fluently).
