Dr. Lisa Salinas is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Health & Biomedical Sciences at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV). In addition to researching pulses, food insecurity and health education implementation, she teaches within both the undergraduate and graduate nutrition programs, including a culturally sensitive counseling course in the MS in Dietetics program at UTRGV. She is passionate about health equity, cultural appreciation, preventive nutrition and overall wellness.
