D.D. McBride, RN, RAC-CT has spent the last 25 years working in the Long-Term Care Sector in varied roles such as Staff Development Coordinator, MDS Coordinator, Unit Manager, Divisional Clinical Reimbursement Specialist. Within those 25 years, DD has spent 22 of those involved in one capacity or another with MDS. Most recently D.D. functions as Utilization Management Resource providing support to the MDS nurses of 14 buildings, within her role she conducts audits, helps with improving quality measures for the 5-star rating and quality reporting program, trains current and new staff, supports managing the MDS systems, and continues to complete MDS assessments and care plans as needed. DD has a passion for teaching the MDS, and Care Plans to anyone who will listen. D.D. is certified in MDS with the AAPACN organization. When not working, DD enjoys camping and fishing, spending time with family.
