Filippa Juul is a Faculty Fellow at the Department of Public Health Policy and Management at the School of Global Public Health of New York University. Filippa has a BSc in Nutrition and Dietetics, a MSc in Public Health and a PhD in Epidemiology. As a nutritional and chronic disease epidemiologist, Filippa’s research primarily focuses on the influence of dietary patterns and diet quality in the development of chronic diseases. In particular, she has a long-term interest in the impact of food processing on diet quality, obesity and cardiometabolic diseases. Additionally, Filippa is conducting policy research with the aim of translating the findings of her epidemiological investigations into effective public health measures for chronic disease prevention, with a specific focus on reducing health disparities.
