Laura Meza Esparza MS, RDN, CLC

Ms. Laura Meza Esparza is a first-generation Latina graduate whose original birthplace is Juchipila, Zacatecas, Mexico. She emigrated to the United States at age five when her parents sought a better life. Ms. Meza Esparza faced the challenges of adopting a language and culture that many immigrant children face when they move to this country. She is also one of the few Registered Dietitian Nutritionists in this country that can speak Spanish and English fluently. Ms. Meza Esparza is a recent graduate of the Master’s of Science in Human Nutrition and Dietetics Program at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver), where she also completed her BS in Human Nutrition and Dietetics and Dietetic Internship. Ms. Meza Esparza hopes to one day serve as a mentor and advocate for students of color interested in becoming Registered Dietitian Nutritionists. She currently works as a Dietitian PRN at the Medical Center of Aurora, University of Colorado Hospital, and Wesley Medical Center, where she continues to improve her skills as a Clinical RDN.
