Brandon J. Stroud is a Social Clinical Researcher and holds a Master of Public Health degree from the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from East Carolina University. He plans on continuing his studies and pursuing a Doctorate of Public Health with a focus in Health Policy and Leadership. He currently works in the Department of Nutrition Science as a social clinical researcher and as the Fresh Start and Farm to Clinic Assistant Director. While a student he has received several mini grants to fund his research interests and presented at National, State, and Local conferences. He is the current president of the student Public Health Organization at East Carolina University and maintains active roles in the American Public Health Association and Society of Public Health Education. His research interests include chronic disease prevention and management, health disparities, underserved populations, social determinants of health, food insecurity, healthcare policy, nutrition education, and translational research.
