Mark DeLegge is a gastroenterologist who has spent his career in the world of nutrition and has been a forerunner in the merging of gastroenterology and patient management with the importance of addressing nutrition. He was a Professor of medicine at the medical University of South Carolina where he supported the dietetic internship program and the nutrition support team. He has served on the board of directors at ASPEN and the American Gastroenterology Association and is an honorary member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. He has published extensively, including over 100 peer reviewed articles and is a frequent invited guest both nationally and internationally. Dr. DeLegge also has extensive experience in the development of new medical devices and pharmacologic agents and holds over 30 patents.
