Judith Judith Gilbride, PhD, RDN, FAND is Professor Emerita of Nutrition and Dietetics at New York University. She began her career in clinical nutrition research at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York and later joined NYU as a dietetics educator. She was an undergraduate program director and sought accreditation of the NYU programs. She was department chair for three terms while Director of the Nutrition and Dietetic Programs. Very active with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, New York State Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Greater New Dietetic Association. As Academy President, she was able to champion the emergence of nutritional genomics for the profession and still closely follows dietetics education in nutritional genetics and genomics.
