Barbara Lusk, MFCS, RD, LDN, FAND is the Clinical Nutrition Manager and Director of the Dietetic Internship Program at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, CA. She has worked in a variety of settings and locations in her over 20 years’ career in dietetics. Barb currently serves as the Delegate to the Academy House of Delegates for the Clinical Nutrition Management DPG and serves on the CNM DPG Quality Process Improvement Sub-Unit Committee. She previously served as the QPI Sub-Unit Vice Chair, the CNM DPG’s Chair-Elect, Chair, and Past Chair, and was on the Quality & Research Committee. She has been a member of the Nutrition Care Process Value Set Review Task Force and NCPT Advisory Subcommittee Workgroup. Barb has been actively involved with dietitian staff productivity, quality process improvement, lean six sigma, and has been active in academy professional associations to support the profession throughout her career. Barb was the local site principal investigator with oversight of two research dietitians (adult/pediatrics) at UC Davis Medical Center, coordinating with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics on the AAIM Study – Academy and ASPEN Indicators to diagnose Malnutrition (previously known as the Malnutrition Clinical Characteristics Validation and Staffing Study).
