Assistant Professor/Director, Didactic Program in Dietetics

Jen Ross is an Assistant Professor and director of the Didactic Program in Dietetics at the University of North Florida teaching primarily in the areas of nutrition counseling and education. In addition to teaching, she works with the UNF Center for Nutrition and Food Security on food recovery and meal distribution and education programs that serve food insecure individuals throughout Northeast Florida. Her current research focuses on food/nutrient security, student community engagement in the areas of nutrition counseling and education, program planning and evaluation, disordered eating, and weight bias. Dr. Ross is Secretary for the Florida Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics where she previously served as Public Policy Liaison and Reimbursement Representative. Ross is a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor and she formerly worked in private practice where she counseled individuals on a variety of nutrition-related concerns. She received her BA in Human Services from Elon College, BSH and MSH in Health Science/Nutrition, and Doctorate in Clinical Nutrition from the University of North Florida.
