Kristin Hoddy, PhD, RD

Dr. Hoddy is an accomplished, highly knowledgeable registered dietitian, clinical researcher, and human nutrition specialist. She is dedicated to bringing evidenced-based practices from the laboratory to the real world and delivers a record of success in program planning/development, grant and proposal development, research, analytics, team leadership, writing, and education.
Prior to completing her doctorate, Dr. Hoddy worked in the fitness industry for ten years and is passionate about translating clinical research to real-world settings. She gained expertise in intermittent fasting during her doctoral studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and has authored over a dozen peer-reviewed papers on the topic over seven years of studying IF. During her fellowship at the University of Chicago she received specialized training in sleep research and has since blended chronobiology and nutrition research interests. As a postdoc at Pennington Biomedical Research Center, she focused on chrononutrition and sleep for weight management and health. She was also part of the study team for the multisite Lifestyle Intervention in Preparation for Pregnancy study being conducted in Cleveland, Boston, and Baton Rouge. This study is the first interventional study to address neonatal health through an intensive wellness intervention inititated in future mothers prior to conception.
