Meghan Adler has been a Nutritionist with the United States Department of Agriculture for over ten years. In 2019, Meghan joined USDA Food and Nutrition Service, Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion (CNPP). During this time Meghan has worked to support the development and promotion of the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 2020-2025. Prior to joining CNPP, Meghan supported research based dietary intake assessment with USDA Agricultural Research Service, Food Surveys Research Group. Her primary focus was on data dissemination and enhancement of the nutrient databases and 24-hour dietary recall instrument used in What We Eat in America, NHANES. In addition to her work with USDA, Meghan has volunteered with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics at the State and National level for several years. She is a past Chair of the Committee for Lifelong Learning at the national level and as a past board member of the Maryland Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Meghan has been honored to recieve the 2016 Maryland Emerging Dietetics Leader Award and the 2020 Maryland Young Dietitian of the Year Award. Prior to joining USDA, she worked on the Healthy Aging in Neighborhoods of Diversity across the Life Span study with the University of Delaware and the National Institute on Aging. Meghan is a proud Blue Hen having received her masters in human nutrition and her undergraduate degree in Dietetics from the University of Delaware.
