Michael Olson graduated from Winona State University with elementary and early childhood education degrees in 2004. He earned his Masters degree in 2005 and an Education Specialist degree in 2016.
He has worked as a classroom teacher for 18 years and has spent time teaching kindergarten, third grade, and fifth grade. In addition to his classroom teaching, he has spent his summers working as an outdoor educator/naturalist at Quarry Hill Nature Center in Rochester, MN. The summer work has focused on life science, geology, archaeology, and nature photography.
Over the past several years, Michael has worked with Jen to bring hydroponics, gardening, and nutrition lessons to his students. This partnership has included maintaining classroom (hydroponic) gardens, growing experiments, and regular nutrition lessons for his fifth-grade students.
