Jackie Boucher, MS, RDN is President of Children’s HeartLink in Minneapolis, MN. In this position she leads an organization that partners with organizations to train medical teams, provide education and transform health care in underserved parts of the world
Boucher is also continuing her research with the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation, serving as a co-investigator on the Hearts Beat Back: The Heart of New Ulm Project, which is focused on community-wide coronary heart disease prevention. In addition, she is co-investigator of a diabetes nutrition studyENHANCED (diEtitiaNs Helping pAtieNts CarE for Diabetes)focused on care delivery models which advance the roles of dietitians using protocols for medication therapy.
Boucher has extensive experience in health care, education, public health and research, focusing on preventing and treating obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
She has been a 25+-year volunteer for the American Diabetes Association. Locally, Boucher served as Tour de Cure Chair for two years. Nationally, she served on the Postgraduate Course and Scientific Sessions Planning Committee as well as a three-year term as Associate Editor and five-year term as Editor-in-Chief of Diabetes Spectrum. She has also been active in the past with the American Association of Diabetes Educators and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics including the Diabetes Care and Education Dietetic Practice Group.
Boucher holds a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from the College of St. Benedict, and a Master of Science in Nutrition from the University of Minnesota.
