Dr. Andie Lee Gonzalez is a registered dietitian with nearly 15 years of nutrition and public health experience. Her focus has been on pediatric and community nutrition. Dr. Gonzalez earned a bachelors degree in dietetics and nutrition and internship training from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. She has a masters degree in public health from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, with a concentration in nutrition and migrant farmworker health. She then completed her doctorate from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, TX in and a certificate in Business Analytics from Michigan State University.
Prior to joining Abbott Nutrition, Dr. Gonzalez was a Corporate Retail Registered Dietitian and Sales Marketing spokesperson for H-E-B Nutrition Services, a large grocer in Texas. Her focus was on pediatric and adult education, customer relations, and provider marketing in South Texas.
She also has experience in community nutrition where she taught as an adjunct Professor and Preceptor at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, Edinburg Texas and South Texas College in McAllen, Texas. Dr. Gonzalezs clinical research has included childhood obesity, maternal health, leadership and health amongst Hispanic and Latino population in the US. She has presented her research at national professional organization conferences, and local practice group meetings.
