Alyssa Moran, ScD, MPH, RDN is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management and core faculty within the Institute for Health and Social Policy and Bloomberg American Health Initiative at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Her research and teaching centers on the identification and adoption of effective public health policies to promote equitable access to healthful food, reduce food insecurity, and prevent diet-related diseases. Dr. Moran has more than a decade of experience working in and with state and local governments to implement and evaluate food and nutrition policies. Her research on SNAP policy has been published in leading public health journals, including Annual Reviews of Public Health, American Journal of Public Health, American Journal of Preventive Medicine, and Health Affairs.
