Tiffany Johnson, OTR is a Licensed Occupational Therapist who currently works at TIRR Memorial Hermann in Houston, TX. She currently serves as a senior occupational therapist on the Brain Injury and Stroke and the Disorders of Consciousness Programs for adults (with future plans to expand to include pediatric patients as well). She serves on the Advisory Board at PIMA Community College for the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant program, as a mentor for new employees, and clinical educator for students. She graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch with a Masters in Occupational Therapy and as been practicing for over 10 years. As a holistic practitioner she takes a full body approach to treating her patients to promote healing and decrease effects from diseases by using several different modalities (exercise, movement, diet and nutrition, music, and art) to develop a customized treatment plan based on the patients specific hobbies and interests. Her specific interests include: health (ways to optimize nutrition) and wellness within brain injury population, immunocompromised population, heart transplant population, and diabetes education within hospital and community based settings. She enjoys learning new information and new techniques from other disciplines, other areas of practice and other cultures. Her favorite phrase is the more you know the more you grow.
