Hillary Roberts is a registered dietitian nutritionist and assistant professor with over 15-years teaching experience. She is program director for the Dietetic Internship and Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics programs at Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri. As Chair of the McQueary College of Health and Human Services Interprofessional Education (IPE) Journal Club committee, she collaborated with colleagues from numerous health disciplines in the college to create an IPE journal club that over 100-students participate in annually. Dr. Roberts is a member of the college IPE collaborative and in 2019 this collaborative was granted Missouri State Universitys High-Impact Teaching Award. Furthermore, Dr. Roberts published an article in ACENDs Update noteworthy practice newsletter about the IPE experiences she helped Missouri States nutrition and dietetic students participate in. Building student relationships is the foundation of Dr. Robertss teaching philosophy. In 2016, she was awarded both the Outstanding Dietetics Educator Award by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Missouri Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Emerging Dietetic Leader Award. Dr. Roberts continues to create cooperative and student-led learning opportunities through interprofessional education in an effort to provide inclusive learning environments for all students.
