Located in beautiful Missoula, Montana, Kirsten Godwin, RD, CNSC is a senior manager for Providence St. Patrick Hospital’s Clinical Nutrition Services for Acute Care and Outpatient Oncology. In addition to her acute care management role, she also oversees two ambulatory care clinics: Providence Medical Group (PMG) Endocrinology, Diabetes and Nutrition Center and PMG Pediatrics . She has over 30 years of experience, first starting her career as a clinical dietitian at Brigham and Womens Hospital in 1991. After 6 years in Boston, Kirsten moved back to Montana with her family and has been with Providence Health and Services for 26 years. She is passionate about advocating for the inclusion of RDNs in both acute and ambulatory care settings.
Since her time with Providence, Kirsten has been able to increase RD presence in several areas within the hospital setting including the addition of dietitians in Providence St. Pat’s surgical home program which encompasses the Strong for Surgery and ERAS pathways for several patient populations.
