Jessica Bridgman, MPH RDN LDN (she/her/hers) has 16 years of experience in the field of nutrition and dietetics and public health research. Currently at the Carolina Global Breastfeeding Institute (CGBI) she advises child care industry professionals as they implement evidence-based practices for chest/breastfeeding families. Jessicas work includes: Infant & Young Child Feeding in Emergencies (IYCF-E) and expanding lactation Continuity of Care (CoC). Prior to CGBI, she served as a Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) Nutrition Program Consultant for the NC Department of Health and Human Services, where she also coordinated the statewide Breastfeeding-Friendly Child Care Designation. Jessica has been invited to be an external reviewer for numerous USDA CACFP Training Tools, including Feeding Infants in the CACFP and Breastfed Babies Welcome Here! Her public health experience ranges from primary prevention of Type II Diabetes in adolescents to end-of-life decision making for patients with advanced chronic kidney disease.
