Christy Isbell, PhD, OTR/L
Program Director, Chair and Professor of Occupational Therapy
Dr. Christy Isbell is a program director, chair and professor in the Masters in Occupational Therapy Program at Milligan University where she also teaches pediatric courses. She is a pediatric occupational therapist with more than twenty-five years of experience working with children and youth in schools, childcare centers, homes, and clinics. Dr. Isbell maintains a private practice, and her specialty is early intervention and the treatment of young children with autism and young children who were drug-exposed in utero. She has authored five books, contributed to books, and published articles on sensory integration and fine motor development. Dr. Isbells books were written to educate early childhood teachers and parents and include Sensory Integration: A guide for preschool teachers. She has presented nationally and internationally on sensory integration and fine motor development.
