Dr. Anne Davis is the founding program director and assistant professor in the graduate program in Nutrition Science including a FG FEM program at Hood College. Previously, she was the founding director of the FG FEM in Clinical Nutrition Future at the University of the Pacific.

She earned a PhD in public health from Temple University; MS in allied health from the University of Connecticut; dietetic internship at Saint Louis University and BS in Food and Nutrition from the University of Maine. Dr. Davis has practiced in clinical pediatric GI/nutrition support, academia, biotech and pharma research settings for over 35 years wher she has designed and executed multi-center international randomized clinical trials and managed clinical trial budgets more than $5 million. She has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles, authored, 10 book chapters, co-edited 3 pediatric nutrition books, presented over 40 invited presentations and is a Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Her current epidimiolgy research involves intended gestational weight loss in obese pregnant women and small for gestational age infants.

Most recently, Dr. Davis coauthored the Environmental Scan in the 2018, Rationale for Future Education Preparation of Nutrition and Dietetics Practitioners ACEND publication and currently serves on ACEND’s Extended Standards and Technology committees. She has served on the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Council on Research task force and published clear definition and common language for evidence-based dietetics practice and has served on the editorial board the Journal of Nutrition and Dietetics for more than six years.
