Stephanie Filigno, PhD

Dr. Filigno is a psychologist embedded into the CF care team at Cincinnati Childrens Hospital Medical Center (since 2009) and is a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She provides clinical care to patients with CF and their families in the outpatient and inpatient care environments. Dr. Filignos research focuses on examination of psychosocial risk factors in CF, school success in CF, adherence and quality of life in CF, mental health promotion, and behavioral nutrition treatments to promote health in CF. She is active in quality improvement projects in the Cincinnati CF Center and is a collaborator on several grants funded by the CFF and NIH. She gives presentations at CF Centers across the US on mental and behavioral health promotion. She is a member of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundations (CFF) Mental Health Advisory Committee Education and Training Workgroup and the CFF Success with Therapies Research Consortium. She co-directs the Cincinnati Childrens CF behavioral health program in collaboration with her pulmonologist colleagues.
