Alicia Connor, MA, RDN is a dietitian and chef who has low vision and is legally blind. She is passionate about simplifying meal planning to make healthy eating easier. Alicia built a successful career as a chef and worked at one of the top restaurants in San Francisco. As her vision declined due to a hereditary condition, she completed her undergraduate and graduate coursework, and dietetic internship at San Francisco State University to become a dietitian. Alicia has a private practice in San Francisco and provides nutrition counseling one-on-one to help create an actionable plan to meet their health goals including weight loss, diabetes, and food sensitivities and intolerances to name a few. She helps individuals develop systems to implement behavior change to become the next best versions of themselves. Alicia also offers virtual meal planning group workshops year-round and this program is offered to individuals and to workplace wellness programs nationally. In February 2019, Alicia founded Quick & Delish by Alicia Connor, a video cooking series on YouTube, where she presents easy recipes with minimal steps for flavorful, balanced meals. She presented during a webinar funded by an Academy Diversity mini-grant to the NEHP DPG in September 2021. Alicias success as a practicing dietitian with a disability is highlighted in Todays Dietitian May 2020. Alicia has a GoFundMe Campaign to raise funds to make her Youtube channel and meal planning programs accessible to those with vision impairment.
