Melissa Altman-Traub is an Associate Professor of Allied Health at the Community College of Philadelphia. She has been a part-time academic adviser, is involved with student success programs, and has led faculty learning communities. She received the Alana Collos Award from the college’s Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning earlier this year. Her experience includes clinical nutrition in hospitals, long-term care, renal nutrition and outpatient nutrition counseling, and has been an adjunct faculty member at LaSalle University. She also has a food blog at www.melissatraub.com and has expertise with plant-based diets and Jewish cuisine. Melissa holds a B.S. in Nutrition from Pennsylvania State University, completed a dietetic internship at the University of Cincinnati Hospital, earned an M.S. in Health Education at Arcadia University, and completed additional coursework in Health Studies at Temple University.
