Food Dignity

Rebecca Garofano is a dietetic intern at Syracuse University, where she recently completed her M.S. in Nutrition Science. She works as the Illustrator and Institute Lead at Food Dignity, where she develops participatory activities for community projects to explore topics ranging from social determinants of health to food systems. Rebecca’s undergraduate degree is in Sociology and she has a background working in nonprofits that focus on environmental health and agriculture research and education. Her research is focused on ecological measures to promote integrated frameworks for agroecology and human health. Rebecca is passionate about equitable and resilient regional food systems.
