In this role, she is responsible for every aspect of the Coordinated Program, from recruitment and admissions to the classroom and supervised practice. Her teaching draws on her own clinical experience and has been recognized with the Oklahoma Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics award for Outstanding Educator in a Coordinated Program and the OUHSC College of Allied Healths Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award. In addition to her teaching and program administration responsibilities, she also maintains a research agenda. Her research projects include a novel interprofessional prehabilitation program for patients with pancreatic cancer, a fitness and wellness program for children with leukemia, and development of an app to aid physicians in choosing an appropriate tube feeding formula for patients in the medical intensive care unit. Dr. Anderson has also had the honor of serving on professional committees at the district, state, and national levels, and in all her work, she continues to seek to promote the unique skills of registered dietitian nutritionists.
