Lois Hill, MS, RDN, LD, LDE, FAND
Lois J Hill is a registered dietitian nutritionist and owner of Nutrition Solutions in Lexington, Kentucky. Lois’ private practice includes the chronic kidney disease, diabetes, weight management and wellness areas. She previously worked as Kentucky Nutrition Services Supervisor at Dialysis Clinic, Inc.. Lois earned her BS in Nutrition and Food Science and MS in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Kentucky, and completed her dietetic internship at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. She has served in leadership roles with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics/American Dietetic Association, Kentucky Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics/Kentucky Dietetic Association, and the Bluegrass Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics/Bluegrass Dietetics Association in the legislation, reimbursement, and quality management areas including Nephrology Nutrition Standards of Practice and Professional Performance reviewer. Additional leadership roles include the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Renal Practice Group, Kidney Health Alliance of Kentucky, National Institute of Health Panel for Kidney Disease Education, reviewer for renal diabetes areas for the American Association of Diabetes Educator, and Kentucky Renal Dietitians. Lois was awarded the Outstanding Young Dietitian of the Bluegrass Dietetic District in 1978, Kentucky Dietetic Association Outstanding Dietitian in 1986, American Dietetic Association Diabetes Care and Education Practice Group Legislative Award in 2000, Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Renal Practice Group Outstanding Service Award in 2018 and recognized as a Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in 2019.
