Kerri Lynn Knippen, Ph.D., MPH, RDN, LD, BCADM is a registered dietitian with more than 10 years of experience working in outpatient counseling, primarily in the area of diabetes care. Dr. Knippen also has worked in a patient centered medical home practice and has expertise in patient centered approaches to care, including shared medical appointments, same day access, and clinical protocols that involve the dietitian. She currently is an Assistant Professor at Bowling Green State University in the Food & Nutrition program. Her research interests are focused on interdisciplinary, patient centered care approaches in relation to chronic disease, understanding barriers to care, with a specific interest in decision making, motivation, and risk perception. Kerri is an advocate for proactive and patient centered care approaches which involve the dietitian models of healthcare delivery.
