Erin Bergquist, MPH, RD, LD
Iowa State University, Dietetic Internship
Erin Bergquist is the Chair for the Council on Future Practice. She is also a Clinical Professor at Iowa State University, teaching in the Master of Professional Practice in Dietetics Program and also the Art and Science of Peace course. She leads the international community nutrition rotation in Ghana, Africa in partnership with the University of Ghana and was a founding member of the Global Member Interest Group. Erin is active within the Hunger and Environmental Nutrition Dietetic Practice Group and has been part of the workgroups to develop Standards of Professional Performance for RDNs in Sustainable, Resilient and Healthy Food and Water Systems, dietetics internship curriculum and led the Champion Site initiative for Sustainability in Dietetics Education at Iowa State University. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics, a Master of Public Health degree, and is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in Agricultural Education and Studies at Iowa State University, focusing on the use of systems approaches to teach complexity found in sustainable food and water systems.
