Sharon Groh-Wargo is the Senior Neonatal Nutritionist in the Department of Pediatrics at MetroHealth Medical Center and Professor, Nutrition and Pediatrics at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Groh-Wargo is an educator, has over 40 years of clinical experience in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) environment and has authored numerous publications on neonatal nutrition. She is an editor of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Pocket Guide to Neonatal Nutrition, as well as a contributor to both the Academys online Pediatric Nutrition Care Manual and to the 3rd edition of Infant and Pediatric Feedings: Guidelines for Preparation of Human Milk and Formula in Health Care Facilities. Dr Groh-Wargo participates in the Pre-B project that is led by the NIH in collaboration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Pre-B was convened to conduct systematic reviews and develop dietary guidelines for preterm infants.
