Cheryl Lewis, MPA, RD, LDN

Cheryl Lewis is the National Director of the Nutrition, Education, Training and Technical Assistance Division in the Child Nutrition Programs at the USDA Food and Nutrition Service National Office. She is responsible for executing nutrition education and technical assistance for programs that provide healthy meals to children including the National School Lunch Program, the School Breakfast Program, the Child and Adult Care Food Program and the Summer Food Service Program. In addition, she provides leadership and technical direction on Team Nutrition, the Healthier US School Challenge, Institute of Child Nutrition, and Local School Wellness Policy Resources. Cheryl has held multiple technical and management positions in support of the Child Nutrition Programs at the local, state, national and international levels. Previously, she served as Senior Nutrition Policy Advisor at the U.S. Agency for International Development administering child health and nutrition programs in Asia, Latin America and Africa. Cheryl is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior, American Society of Nutrition and the American Public Health Association. She is a licensed and registered Dietitian.
