Rory Pace has dedicated her career to Nephrology Nutrition, a field in which she is a leader, educator, and patient advocate. After graduating from UC Davis with a degree in Dietetics, she completed a dietetic internship at the West LA VA Medical Center and a Masters degree in Public Health at UCLA. Rory has published and presented on numerous nephrology nutrition topics, and recently served as lead author of the 2020 revision of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and National Kidney Foundation Standards of Practice and Standards of Professional Performance for Nephrology Nutrition. Rory has been an active volunteer leader, serving in the Academy House of Delegates, the California Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and the National Kidney Foundation. She currently serves as Chair-elect of the Renal Practice Group and Vice-Chair of the Academy’s Council on Future Practice. In 2020, Rory was recognized as the Academy’s Outstanding Dietitian of the Year for California.
Rory is currently the Senior Director of Nutrition Services at Satellite Healthcare, where she uses her clinical and leadership experience to guide practice for over 100 Nephrology Dietitians across the United States. She is a strong advocate for the role of nutrition in the care of people with kidney disease and works hard to ensure that dietitians have a seat at the table.
