Amy Carter is the director of clinical nutrition and lifestyle health for Eskenazi Health in Indianapolis, Indiana. She leads teams of highly skilled nutrition and wellness professionals, oversees a variety of nutrition programs from prevention to acute care to outpatient chronic disease management, and incorporates projects to address social determinants of health. Amy works to demonstrate how services provided by RDNs positively impact patient outcomes, boost operational efficiency, and leads to RDN service growth.

Amy holds a bachelors degree in dietetics from Marian University, a masters degree in Adult and Community Education from Ball State University, and a Spanish Certificate from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara. As Adjunct Faculty at Ivy Tech Community College, she serves as Online Instructor and Curriculum Developer.

Amy received the 2019 Transforming Vision into Action Award, St. Margaret’s Guilds 2018 Achievement in Medicine Award, and the 2017 Indiana Diabetes Educator of the Year award. She was also named as 2019 Mentor of The Year (Health Science) by College Mentors for Kids, and was this year’s Indiana Outstanding Dietitian of the Year.
