I am a professor emeritus with the University of Pennsylvania. I teach Dairy Production Medicine, Ration Formulation, Animal Production Systems, Dairy Nutrition, and Global Food Security. I have board specialty training in nutrition and reproduction. My clinical duties involve nutrition and reproductive programs on dairy farms. My research endeavors encompass feeding fats in dairy rations, protein utilization, biologic supplements, and nutritional interactions with reproduction. More recently my work has focused on nutrition and environmental impact on dairy farms, particularly examining P and N. I have co-organized a course in Global Food Security and have explored the ethics of agricultural production.
